A huge congratulations to our incredible PI, Dr. James Li, who was just promoted to Full Professor! This is a well-deserved and high honor and we are so excited. Here is some of what the Dean of College of Letters & Science, Eric M. Wilcots, had to say about Dr. Li:
“…You have become a nationally renowned scholar in the areas of clinical science, genomics, and developmental psychopathology. Your research has helped us to better understand how individual differences in the development of psychiatric outcomes are connected to one’s DNA and life experiences, providing advancements in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, molecular biology, and medicine. We also commend you for your dedication to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and the care you have taken to revise your courses to accommodate diverse perspectives. You have contributed significantly to your department through your critical leadership in the Clinical Area Group, including mentorship and training of graduate students, hiring new colleagues, leading the reaccreditation process, and updating the curriculum, among other tasks. We thank you for all these efforts that have helped to make UW-Madison a better place to study and learn.”
Congratulations, Dr. Li!
